November 1993, held parallel to the fair, there will be a party-like festival, organized in cooperation with Commodore Germany GmbH by big design and The Silents. Could you imagine which possiblities these abilities will offer to all invited guests ? · Let us tell you · usual (boring) facilities: -§- standard video-wall 1000×600 centimetres showing movies during non-actions genlogged with party-information -§- standard sound-equipment with several thousand watts (let's learn from other parties' sound-abilities and make it better) -§- standard-sized location in own halls, one of them consists of two floors, offering room for more than 5000 people, their computers and enough room for them and their sleepingbags to sleep in silence & darkness -§- standard 24 hrs food-supply -§- standard competitions including demo, music, graphic (see further below) -§- support bulletin board system running from now until the end of the festival providing the fastest way to get the big party releases special (unusual big) facilities: -!- scene-quiz-show - who's got the best knowledge about scene today ? -!- radar^contrast^productions live in concert, introducing you to a fantastic industrial-trance-techno gig -!- video-competition -!- if it's good enough, the competitors of the video-act will be shown on MTV Europe -!- Commodore VIPs like Dave Haynie, Jim Sachs, Alwin Stumpf will be present for your amusement Competitions: Standard Demo - must run on A500/A2000 with 1 MB ChipRam or 1/2 MB ChipRam and 1/2 MB FastRam (public voted) and Kickstart 1.3 or higher (!) - if the demo needs user interaction, the producers must be present while the demo runs - max. one demo per coder - at least one person per group must be present at the festival - demo may run up to 20 minutes - deadline: Saturday, 17:58:47.6 40k Intro - the executable-file mustn't be longer than 40k (= 40960 bytes); 40961 means: bad luck ! - other rules like in standard demo compo - playtime up to 15 minutes - deadline: Saturday, 18:00 Turbo Demo - must run on A3000 with 2 MB ChipRam and 2 MB FastRam (jury voted) - must be Harddisk-loadable - may take full use of a 68030 (with MMU !) and a 68882 - playtime up to 15 minutes - deadline: Friday, 18:00 AGA Demo - must run on A1200 2 MB ChipRam and 1 MB FastRam (jury voted) - playtime up to 15 minutes - deadline: Friday, 18:00 C64 Demo - must run on standard C64 with one floppy drive (public voted) - may be up to 20 minutes long - deadline: Friday, 18:00 Music - music must be executable or 100% ProTracker V3.10 compatible (executables or protracker will be (public voted shown on screen) and be harddisk-loadable after preselection) - music may use up to 1 MB ChipRam - music may run up to 4 minutes - deadline: Friday, 18:00 Graphic - must be loadable into DPaint IV AGA (public voted) - minimum 5 steps of your drawing-work who clearly represent your painting-steps (won't be shown) must be handed out - scanned pictures are not allowed - deadline: Saturday, 18:00 Chip-Tune - must be a protracker-module (public voted) - max. length 50kB - deadline: Friday, 18:00 Video - use VHS or S-VHS (jury voted) - max. 15 minutes - no special limitations - deadline: Friday, 18:00 All demos, musics, etc. must be unreleased and free of others copyrights ! If there are less than 5 competitors for a competition, it won't take place, but those few competitors, who took place, will get a present, of course ! Others - real pinball competition (more fun than feeling :) - Dynablasters competition - surprise ! If you have any other productions like A4000 Demos, Compact Disks, or any- thing that will impress Commodore bring it with you, it will be shown on the big screen and honoured of course. So just be creative ! Prices - there will be a lot of prices, unfortunatly we can't tell you now exactly, so we can only say what they will be worth aproximatly; all prices are subject to change, but WITH notice, don't worry; call the BBS for further info The worth (!) of the hardware-prices for the most important contest are : (in german marks) Standard Demo: 1. 10000 DM 2. 5000 DM 3. 2500 DM Graphics: 1. 2000 DM 2. 1000 DM 3. 500 DM Music: 1. 2000 DM 2. 1000 DM 3. 500 DM Video: 1. 3000 DM 2. 1500 DM 3. 800 DM Of course there will be some real cool prices for all other compos, too ! Rules - NO GRAFFITI ! Everyone who will be caught must pay for cleaning up and will be thrown out; there will be a HUGE graffiti-wall where you may do your work of art - NO EXTREM BOOZING ! Alcohol is not strictly forbidden, BUT: if we find someone making any kind of trouble, he will be thrown out IMMEDIATELY ! - selling of hard- and software and any kind of food is forbidden - behave like civilized people; troublemakers will be thrown out - there will be security-cameras all over the place, so don't think we won't get you ... - we will offer a reward of 50 DM for everyone who will hand over or help to get troublemakers - the organizers are not responsible for any kind of actions done by the festival-guests As many many people are expected to come (due to official announcement by the organizers in several Amiga Magazins), just save your place right now. The entry-fee is 30 DM, no foreign currencies will be taken. How to come to the party The party will take place on a hugh location in "Vogelsanger Str. 193". There will be many signs spread all over the city to show you the way. By car: Try to find highways A4 or A1 in direction of "Autobahnkreuz Koeln West". At this cross, drive on A1 in direction "Autobahnkreuz Koeln Nord". Leave the highway at the first exit, "Koeln-Loevenich". You will come to "Aachener Strasse". On this street, drive in direction "Koeln Messe" or "Koeln Deutz". After a few kilometers, shortly before the "Friedhof Melaten" (cemetery), go left in "Melaten Guertel". Go on this street until the crossing of "Vogelsanger Strasse". Here go left. After a few meters you will find the party-place on the left side. By train: Get a train to come to "Koeln Hbf.". Try to get the underground number 3 or 4 in direction "Bockelmuend". Go until station "Venloer Strasse / Guertel". Leave the underground and walk to "Ehrenfeld Guertel". NOT in direction of the railway but in the opposite direction (there will be signs, of course, showing you the way). After a few meters, go right in "Vogelsanger Strasse" and again after a few meters, you will come to the party, on the left hand side. By airplane: At the airport, get the bus number 170 and drive to Koeln Hbf. The rest is the same as under "By Train".
