CyberCrime International Network

Network Rules and Regulations

Last Updated - July 15, 1997.

I have decided that it is quite hypocritical to be, on one hand, bashing
the Internet (and specifically, IRC) for it's stifling, often dictatorial
practices, while on the other hand, instating dozens of rules and expect
everyone to follow them. The computer underground is, and should be,
free speech. Hence these following changes to CyberCrime rules:

                        ** THERE AREN'T ANY. **

There are, however, a few guidelines:

   1) Post what you want, how you want, where you want. I'd LIKE to see
some order maintained, and I'd ideally prefer that people not post
a BBS ad six times in a row. But you are all adults. I cannot
spend all of my free time watching after every message in every
base and then bitch and moan when someone does something stupid.
Just be smart. Be mature. But I'm sure as hell not going to
enforce these qualities. If you're an immature idiot, that's the
way you are, and nothing I can do or say can change that.

** At present, the ONLY way a BBS can be expelled from CyberCrime is
by a majority vote of all current CyberCrime sysops. The reasons
behind such an expulsion are immaterial; as long as there is a
majority interest in seeing a particular BBS removed from the
network, then such an issue WILL be put to a vote in the CCI-SYSP
CyberCrime Sysops Only message echo. I (Midnight Sorrow) hereby
revoke any and all authority regarding this matter.

   2) Even though there aren't any rules for posting content, that does
NOT mean that this is an OPEN, unrestricted network. System admission
standards will remain as strict as they ever were (read CCI-INFO.TXT
for the requirements for joining), and you, the CCi sysop, are STILL
expected to restrict the network only to users who are qualified to
take part in discussions of an underground nature. Such users,
however, are welcome to post anything they like within this network,
      without repercussions.

Enjoy the network. Long live CyberCrime!
